Know when to talk; know when to listen.
I started writing a blog posting today about the interesting developments in my business experiment this year. Then on the radio, it was announced that it is Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the US. In 2003, as I toured the deep South (Montgomery & Biloxi), I spent some time with one of MLK’s organizers from back in the 60′s. Rather than go into my business life, let’s take a moment to honour someone who had such a profound effect on the world we live in today. The leader of the free world was just a child of six when MLK gave his speech about the promised land. If that six year old could only have known what path had been constructed for him at that point. Regardless of politics, religious affiliations, or any other personal considerations, the relationship between these two men show that it is in each of us to move the fire forward. Now I’ll shut up and leave you with this: out of many, we are one.
